- Service information — the pest issue you’re dealing with, notes about your property, and any preferences you share.
- Payment information — processed by our third-party payment processor. We do not store full credit-card numbers on our servers.
b. Information collected automatically
- Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID
G-0TY9344E53): pages you view, referring URL, approximate location (city/state derived from IP), device type, browser, and interactions with the site. - Cookies and similar technologies used by GA4 to distinguish sessions and by our web host for basic performance.
- Server logs: IP address, timestamp, and requested URL, kept for security and troubleshooting.
c. Information from third parties
- GorillaDesk, our field-service software, receives the form submissions from our contact page and stores them so we can schedule your inspection.
- We may receive review notifications from Google and Yelp when you leave us a review.
2. How We Use Your Information
- Respond to your inspection request and schedule service.
- Deliver, invoice, and follow up on pest control services.
- Send appointment reminders and service reports.
- Improve the website (which pages help homeowners, which don’t).
- Comply with our obligations as a licensed North Carolina structural pest control operator (License #1979PW).
- Detect and prevent fraud, spam, and abuse.
We do not use your data for automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects.
3. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with:
- Service providers that help us operate: GorillaDesk (scheduling & CRM), Google (Analytics & Search Console), Cloudflare (website hosting), our email provider, and our payment processor. Each is contractually required to use your information only to provide services to us.
- Regulators and law enforcement when required by law (e.g., the North Carolina Department of Agriculture & Consumer Services in connection with our pest control license).
- Successors if Castle is merged, acquired, or sells substantially all of its assets — in which case we will notify you.
4. Cookies & Analytics
We use first-party and third-party cookies. Google Analytics is enabled site-wide. You can:
- Install the Google Analytics Opt-Out Browser Add-On.

5. Data Retention
We keep customer records (name, service address, service history, invoices) for 24 months after your last interaction with us, or longer where required by tax, insurance, or NC pesticide-application recordkeeping laws (typically 2–3 years for pesticide application records under NC regulation 02 NCAC 09L .1005). Analytics data is retained for 14 months in GA4.
6. Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Request access to the personal information we hold about you.
- Request correction of inaccurate information.
- Request deletion (subject to legal retention obligations).
- Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information (we do not sell it).
- Appeal a decision we make about your request.
