Cockroach control starts with knowing which cockroach you have. German cockroaches breed indoors, usually in kitchens and bathrooms. American, smokybrown and Oriental cockroaches more often live outdoors or in damp areas and wander in. The treatment plan is different for each.
We inspect the places cockroaches hide — behind and under appliances, inside cabinets, around plumbing, in crawl spaces and along the foundation — and confirm the species before recommending treatment. NC State Extension’s German cockroach guide explains why inspection and monitoring matter as much as the products used.

Exact coverage, visit frequency and any guarantee depend on your written service agreement.
Indoor breeders and outdoor visitors
German cockroaches are small, tan and live their whole lives indoors near food, water and warmth. Control focuses on finding every harborage and treating it, with follow-up. American, smokybrown and Oriental cockroaches are larger and are often linked to moisture, mulch, drains or crawl spaces; control focuses on the outside of the home, entry points and damp areas.
Why store-bought foggers can make it worse
Total-release foggers do not reach cockroaches hidden in cracks and wall voids, and they can push activity into new areas. If you have already used products, tell us which ones: it helps us choose what to do next.
Preparing for treatment
Your technician will give you instructions for your treatment. Typically that means clearing under the sink, putting food away and letting us reach behind appliances. Preparation and re-entry guidance depend on the products used.
