Mice and rats get into homes through surprisingly small gaps, then nest in attics, walls, crawl spaces and garages. Castle Exterminators controls the rodents already there and, where you want it, seals the ways they are getting in.
Our rodent control uses exterior tamper-resistant bait stations, interior baiting where it is appropriate for the home, and monitoring with follow-up visits. Exclusion — sealing entry points — is scoped and quoted separately, from small-gap sealing and vent guards up to full-home exclusion. We do not promise that rodents can never return: new gaps can form, and exclusion depends on the condition of the building.

Control and exclusion are different jobs
Control reduces the rodents that are active now, using bait stations and monitoring. Exclusion seals the gaps they use to get in. Most homes benefit from both. We inspect the outside of the home, the crawl space, garage and attic access to find entry points, then give you a written estimate for each part so you can see what you are paying for.
After control: cleanup and insulation
Droppings, urine and nesting material can remain after activity stops. Castle offers rodent cleanup, including dropping cleanup, disinfection, odor treatment, and removal and replacement of contaminated insulation, as a separate service. The CDC’s hantavirus prevention guidance explains why droppings should be cleaned up carefully rather than swept or vacuumed.
Warranties
Any warranty on exclusion work is described in your written agreement. We do not offer a blanket guarantee that rodents will never return.

We use EPA-registered products applied according to label directions. Your technician gives product-specific preparation and re-entry instructions when a treatment calls for them.

Is exclusion included in rodent control?
No. Exclusion is inspected, scoped and quoted separately from rodent control.
Do you clean up droppings?
Yes, as a separate service. See rodent cleanup and insulation.
Are bait stations safe around children and pets?
We use tamper-resistant bait stations outdoors and follow label directions. Tell us about children and pets so we can plan placement.
Do you remove squirrels or other wildlife?
No. Castle does not provide wildlife removal.
Will rodents ever come back?
We cannot promise they never will. Exclusion greatly reduces the ways in, but new gaps can form. Monitoring helps catch new activity early.
